I cannot recommendation Ael Y Bryn enough. My grandfather is glowing after being at Ael Y Bryn for seven months. The staff there are like family to us now. He is treated with the utmost dignity. He tells me that the food is “amazing” and he’s a very fussy man when it comes to his food. The range of activities they offer is second to none, from the local schools visiting weekly to even having animals visit (including a small pony). I absolutely love seeing what they are getting up to from their posts on their social media page. The building and grounds are outstanding in appearance and cleanliness. All in all, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my grandfathers care.
My parents have been living in Ael-Y-Bryn Care Home since July 2019. The care they have received has been so good. The staff are caring, understanding of their needs and also our needs as relatives. Nothing is too much trouble and they’re always at the end of the phone if we need anything.
Ael-y-Bryn is “home from home” a very friendly place. We are made to feel welcome on every visit. We couldn’t have found anywhere nicer for mum to be.
The staff at all levels from the home manager, carers to grounds staff all take pride and full responsibility for ensuring the home runs properly. The care they afford our parents is admirable. We are lucky to have found this home. During the pandemic, the decision to close to all visitors, beforethe UK lockdown was inspired. They ensured that staff and residents were kept safe. All measures continue to be in place to maintain safety. We have been updated throughout. When visiting resumed, the staff worked to ensure we could visit safely. Our parents are safe and well and very well cared for. The updates via social media of activities undertaken show how involved staff are in ensuring it is a home from home. The staff have made a distressing time, dealing with dementia and Covid-19 easier for us. I would recommend this home to anyone.
Whilst looking after my mum on her own and whilst being in hospital, on arriving here with emotions out of my control. The manager, staff everyone who is involved in this care home is amazing. So loving and caring.
